The Sedisport wasn't considered the best chain for alloy freewheels back then... that was just my personal opinion. Most back then didn't understand the bushless design and felt it was too flexible and was junk. I just thought you should match the brand of chain and freewheel for best results.

Are there any aluminum alloy freewheels currently being made?

I'd rather use vintage chains for my vintage freewheels since it so much easier to find the stuff on eBay now than it was to find when it was current.
