Thought I would add my "penny worth" to the question of restoring the Carpenter frame recently won on E.Bay. I certainly wo'nt add my comments on the final cost as I will probably be in the bad books with some folk!
As a former owner of this marque and closely observing the pictures I would vote for its restoration ,but I would suggest Charlie gets some quotes before considering Argos Cycles there are many to choose from here in the UK including Vaz Finishes, Mercian , Bob Jackson etc.etc. all to be found on the internet with full details .They are very competative prices over here to be gained so its worth shopping around before the final choice.
With all the correct period parts it will make a great classic and worthy of the orignal builder from Kingston-Upon-Thames,Surrey. Lucky man!
