The "DURA-ACE AX Parapul Brake" was all about aerodynamics Lou. I happen to have in front of me the 38 page repro Shimano Aero Dynamics catalog from January '81 I'm sending to a customer.

From the catalog: "Front Brake Arch AIR RESISTANCE DECREASED 1.94 %" and "Rear Brake Arch AIR RESISTANCE DECREASED 0.57 %"

Now ya know why Lance won on his TT bike equipped with the AX brakes.
