Oh! Good eye, Bill. My first thought was "spare tubular", but it looks too short for that. There aren't any other clear shots of Aimo's bike, and no one else has anything similar. I'll take a look through some of the other magazines from that year and see if I can spot anything.

Anyone else have any idea what that thing is?
