Hey CR,Does anyone have the article from Bicycling Mag about Nov 1973-Mar 1974 that covered the Motobecane Le Champion? May have been Wallace Clements who did the road test. Also about this time a test was done on Luis Ocana's Team bike. Can anyone scan and e-mail this to me please? I also have 3 Grand Records from 1973 and 74. Any articles on these sweethearts. Over the years and about 10 moves,I seem to have lost a few of the old Mags. Also a thought question. Between the Champion and the 3 G.R.s all are the same size,made within one year of each other. All are full 531db and according to the tape measure they have identical specs. But, the G.Record I just bought was Swiss threaded( 1st one I ever saw) it is a more nervous handler and much harsher ride then the other 3. My thoughts are for some reason a heavier gauge of 531db was used and maybe the head tube is a little more upright. Does this sound possible?
