Hello Ray,
I remember Ross Cycles in Balaham High Road S.W.12 this is possibly the same
shop. Perhaps they changed their name nice touch using Herne in the title as
the old track is very close in S.E.24.
Ross Cycles was the Mecca for real continental exotica and as you said a
veritable Aladins cave, they also stocked the mundane Butlers, Vikings and
Holdsworths. My favourite was the Grandini. Yeah if you had the dosh you
could get a Dossche Sport from there, Plume Vainquer, Peugeot Van
Steenbergen everything.
MASIve stockist's of all continental makes.
PS. Got any pictures of Mike Gambrill on the track in those Sporting
Cyclists of yours? Would love to see one.
Best wishes Mick.
