Another trick, if you are caught without a pump or a presta valve adapter, cut the end off a presta valve cap and screw it on the valve backwards. It works just like a presta valve adapter so you can use the gas station pump, if you have a quarter that is. Good tip on using a Presta valve cap as a Schrader adapter. For years I carried an adapter on the end of a protruding clamp screw in case I ever needed to use gas station air, but I never did. That was back in the days of free air.
