Forgive me for saying this but this doesn't seem at all like a virtual garage. I grasp the concept of On or Off Topic. If that was the criteria in a garage, it would be fairly empty. Any time you get this many folks together, even if the original bond is an interest in a tightly wound subject, there will be all manner of topics broached.

Since there is such a subject as On or Off Topic, we can pretty much all abide by that if my exposure to this forum is typical. The prospect of moderation is distasteful to me. We are adults and it seems for the most part, we act like adults. Occasionally, someone will need to be reminded of the On/Off Topic concept.

As far as the issue of searching for answers, wouldn't it seem that almost everything has been covered in one way or another? It's as if the garage not only has hard rules, it has reference books on the wall and we should look at those instead of discussing among ourselves. I posit that each time a subject is discussed, more information can be gleaned from the varied answers here.

That's my view. Thanks for having me here.
